There was a set up called Everstake.

Dog, they advertise suicide for God's sake. At some point you have to have a Pam Beasley moment and realize they are painting the same picture.

I've recently come across an extremely fascinating (and plausible) theory on Atlantis that you and others might appreciate.

The series also happens to overlap several other theories, past / present myths, mud floods, early 1800s cataclysms, and timeline / historical reset & revisionism.

3-D and 4-D+ Outside the Box thinking helps -- along with those already cynical about what we are told is "history" will embrace the numerous-related overlapping theories. (5-Part series -- probably deserves its own thread):

ATLANTIS RISING -- Spacebusters (Part 1 of 5)

TEASE: It is generally acknowledged by most that the Atlantic Ridge is part of a mind-blowing, realm-changing cataclysm -- but the twist: It is NOT "ancient," but quite a recent cataclysm. According to the Series theories, the Azores Islands are the only remains and geographic north top to the "mythical" island kingdom "Atlantis" - NOT Africa. Thus, the area of the Atlantic (as described by Plato) represents its true location according to the research / theory.)

I'm into the truth. Today's modern "conspiracy theory" usually ends up being the truth. Therefore, I tend to believe some things that might've seemed ridiculous ten years ago.
quote:

beings also have a subconscious desire to be part of a larger group and a larger cause. Filling that void for a sense of community

Well, I don't fit that role. I'm about as antisocial and nonconformist as a human being can possibly be. IRL, most of you I could get along with just fine, and you'd have no idea that I just want to walk away into the woods until "socializing" is over.
quote:

In other words, people who are on the paranoid schizophrenic spectrum are way more likely to be into conspiracy theories. Not saying that everyone who subscribes to a conspiracy theory every now and then is on the paranoid schizo spectrum, but added up and averaged out, people closer to being on the spectrum are far more likely to be big conspiracy theorists

Plausible. The real conspiracy theorists are the sheep who tune into Faux News, XiNN and MSDNC every day, and read social media headlines, and believe it's all true. Mass delusional psychosis via gaslighting and social pressure. It is easier to resist when you're a natural contrarian.

ETA: Spelling.

Try reading past the first paragraph for starters. Pay special attention to the accusations the colonists level at the king of England.

In your research did you come across a definition of 'conspiracy theory?' = if so, please share.
