Well, I'm a manager at a large CPA firm on the Partner track. I'd say I'm plenty ambitious.

I’ve only seen pot smokers violently attack snacks like cakes or Funyuns. Do y’all get your info about weed from watching “Reefer Madness”? A lot of dumb takes in this thread.
What percent of individuals arrested for murder in say Orleans Parish over the past year do you think DIDN’T have weed in their system? I’d be shocked if there were one.
I’m not saying weed use is correlated with or somehow contributes to violence. That’s ridiculous. It’s equally ridiculous to believe most inner city violent people don’t use it, or that its use somehow correlated to a decrease in violence. It isn’t. They all smoking it too.

I don't know why sheriff's are against it. That seems silly.
I do think the tobacco industry is against it because anyone can grow their own pot... in a pot. It isn't as simple with tobacco. Now that the cigarettes industry is significantly weaker, I think that is one of the reasons the legalization stuff has moved forward.
While on the subject of legalization, we should legalize Distilling. Our founders did it, why can't we? A lot of countries - I think Germany and New Zealand are a couple - allow small personal use distilling. We can make beer and wine, but can't distill it? crazy.

Potheads always go there. They assume because they are high 18+ hours a day that people who like to drink beer are drunk 18+ hrs per day.
Newsflash for you, we don't drink all day long and don't want to deal with your bullshite because you are high all day long.

Good thread. What is Ben Shapiro saying on weed?

Wouldn't take much to reach that mark since I don't smoke and most of my friends don't
That's hilarious. You call people out as if you are some expert, and you don't even smoke nor have friends that do. Smfh.
In my college days I smoked a bunch, plus many other drugs, I thank God every day for not give me an addictive personality. Which got me thru those days of some crazy binge drug cocktails. I always find it interesting how the stoners say it's not addictive when they say they are constantly high.
One of my friends has smoked since HS. Smoked with his mom, and no not trailer trash but very wealthy family. He has been trying to quit for the last few yrs, as his doctor advised it for his anxiety/heart rate issues, and he's trying to avoid getting his kids to follow in his footsteps. He tells me it's the hardest thing he's ever had to do, which isn't saying much as his parents got him everything he wanted and lawyers to get him out any trouble he got in. His younger brother grew up the the same, but didn't get the "I'm a functional drug addict" motivated gene like my buddy did. Guy is a royal frick up, but the guy you want on your side if it's time to scrap.
There is a major difference between picking it up later in life and able to control it, than in ones younger teen yrs. That's what we need to be concerned about, and no way to control that when govt/society making "ok". Having laws that can hurt ones future is needed to help a populace. That isn't "anti-freedom". If it is then any law curbing behavior is "anti-freedom" and living in anarchy is what is being advocating.

I watched a close friend die from pancreatic cancer. The pain and nausea from chemotherapy were preventing him from being able to eat and sleep. He had to leave the state to get medical marijuana but it helped him. He was able to gain back a few pounds and sleep through the night.
Sad to hear about your friend BUT we really need to stop interjecting the heart string scenarios to what is being discussed here, legalization of recreational use. Two TOTALLY different things, and hurts the cause of medical use, in a very controlled way. It's abused by people just like any other drugs.
Difference between fentanyl being used by a doctor at the hospital in a controlled situation for a burn victim and some kid snorting it to get high to party. The sob story is used by the stoners to justify the 2nd scenario, so does the good reasons to use a disservice.

80% if all drug overdose ER visits in NC result from weed.
At least that is what the patient says.
The weed is usually sprinkled with some opiates, but the patient doesn’t know that.
Either trust your dealer, get a new dealer or stop drug altogether.

Tell these dummies. Weed melts the brain. That’s why I stick to coors light and turkey 101 with a side of Xanax.

You either want people making good decisions or you want the government to decide. I prefer leaving government out.

So are you just angry? Or are you an angry drunk? Which is it? Why would you want to shoot someone in the face for participating in cannabis consumption?

I prefer people who make better decisions. You need to let people choose to live or die, if they choose to die, let them.

It does make me angry. Not sure why.
The apathy is worse than the anger. Apathy is a state of worthlessness. At least anger means youre feeling something.
Booze makes me apathetic.
