I agree that our failure to act is a result of the collective will of the people, but that doesn't change that Obama's methods and actions have weakened our world standing.

Obama has actually done an OK job on FP, at least compared to his domestic agenda.

I personally think this is a test to see what the world does. If they let him have it without pushing back, we can expect more.

We need to hit Russia with Sanctions immediately. They will be extremely effective since Russia relies on banking centers in london and NYC to get stuff done.

how can you prove this? Im not saying i disagree completely, but i think a lot of our more passive foreign policy and less unilateralism globally is a result of the anti-war mood of the public.

I would also add on, he is basically continuing bush's FP. There are some changes on style of engagement, but I think that is a personality thing.

That said, can someone read this article from national review and tell me that it's just crazy talk: The Eurasian Threat

Thanks for that Link, u.

I went on to understand more about the Eurasian thing.

Wikepedia:

Before war broke out between Russia and Georgia in 2008, Aleksandr Dugin visited South Ossetia and predicted, "Our troops will occupy the Georgian capital Tbilisi, the entire country, and perhaps even Ukraine and the Crimean Peninsula, which is historically part of Russia, anyway." [4] Ossetian president Eduard Kokoity is a Eurasianist and argues that South Ossetia never left the Russian Empire and should be part of Russia.[5]

They have a plan. So much for the 'peace dividend'.
