Obviously there’s a reason these leagues are hitching their wagons to BLM which is nothing but a slogan. Do they think that eventually the public, who is walking away from sports, will eventually comeback bc we can’t stay away? When we come back we’ll just have to deal with the propaganda and lies? You don’t become so successful bc you’re dumb. These leagues are run by smart people. I don’t get why they are in lock step with this this violent and racist movement?

A death spiral secondary to zero self aware attempt to pander that will boomerang and fail in epic fashion.

Continue to suck the government breast milk which is taxpayer funding and anti-trust exemption. Remove the anti-trust exemptions for these sports and it all comes crashing down.

College sports meaning the big revenue generators are basically over now as pay to play comes.

Black athletes will be big losers in this.

I guess it is because that since best athletes tend to be black and they feel they can't afford to get on the bad side of the black community.

The woke people who really get offended by shite? Probably 20% Level of noise? Damn near 97% or more all over media.

The ones who get pissed at the "woke" but don't make a big fuss over it (because ultimately we know too much of that is not healthy no matter what): 80% Level of noise? 3% or less.

Sports owners (and business owners) who ultimately worship the bottom line only hear the noise and don't want to lose any of their money. Not one dime.

Principled owners who know service is the most important in their business don't worry so much over it until it comes down to feeding their family.

So much horse shite going on right now.

To make people yield and ingratiate themselves with those that will be in power in a new transformed America.

“Look, we carry enormous influence with the masses. People won’t stop watching sports and idolizing athletes. Let us keep our money and protect us and we will serve you as influencers and propagandists for your control.”

The same as BLM's endgame. Raise awareness! Can't make change without awareness..

I could come up with a conspiracy theory. Professional sports are unsustainable with the salaries they pay and an aging fan base. Take things back to the levels of 10 or 20 years ago and it is more sustainable. Kind of a half-assed attempt because I really don't know why they want to alienate a large part of the fan base.

First rule of any business is to please the customer.

Big sports has a problem here because their workforce and their customers are going in opposite directions.

Obama was asked during his 2008 presidential campaign about his promise to raise taxes. They said that tax raises have historically hurt the middle class more. His was resoonse was "it's still the right thing to do". So he didn't care that it hurt everyone, he was going to do it because it hurt the rich.

I think that at some point the owners might be trying to play the long game.

Salaries and other things getting out of hand this is a chance to let things go the other way.

1) They allow the players to have their say and have a voice.

2) Fans go away.

3) Rating, Advertising and money goes down.

4) Salary Caps and Revenue share drops. Maybe 20-30 million per team/year.

5) Athletes don't like losing money.

6) Owners have reset payroll

7) Fans eventually come back.
