What is a federal government done for you lately?

I'm just wondering. Highways I get interstates so-so. Road markings and white stripes in baton Rouge not so much. But what is the federal government doing for the middle class? I don't know please enlighten me.

The US is closing in on $37 trillion of US debt.
Most major cities in the US have crumbling infrastructure, subpar roads and bridges and the cities are in many cases not aesthetically pleasing to the eye due to dilapidated buildings, homelessness, rundown neighborhoods and filthy roadways.
With nearly $37 trillion of debt this ^^^^ should not be happening in the US.

They have done nothing but lose unfathomable amounts of money. Think about this... The United States federal government is the most unprofitable business in the history of the universe. But yet, a huge percentage of their employees are paid more than 99% of the entire world's population
