What if, Tactical Nuke on Kiev

Since the Ukes have been successful in clipping Russian strategic assets, drone strikes on Bears sitting on the tarmac, one could see this as a new strategic dimension opening up in the war. Or, at least for the Ukes, Russia used IMRBM with conventional warheads a few months bank. So....what do we and NATO do if the Russians respond with a tactical nuke on Kiev? The IRBM demo was meant to drive home this possibility. I've had fear that they would pull that trigger long before now, sort of amazed they have not. I hope they don't but wonder just what we we'd do if they did.

Why not a small nuke strapped to a drone. This nuke takes out an entire trench line. Its just a large bomb. We would nothing.

Russia would cease to exist as a country if they did that. I don’t even think the Chinese would back the Russians if they did that.

A tactical nuke of a civilian population center would not be a proportional response and Daddy Pooh Bear ain't going to allow Putin to do that.

Why? I don't think the Chinese would do much. They are looking at their own conflict over the horizon with Taiwan.

Because using nukes would make Russia an even worse pariah and also subject it to a nuclear response. It isn’t a scenario that ends well for the Russians.

Well, as of today Russia has significantly less capability of delivering a nuke. So there’s that.

NATO. Does not matter on who, how , when, or why. If the Russians use a nuclear weapon, no matter how many kilotons, NATO will respond.

You are overestimating Russian abilities at the moment.
Using nukes right now would ensure that Russia’s ruling class would fall.

No there would not be. We are not launching Nukes over Ukraine
Obama already told you this. You think Trump would want his legacy to be a Nuclear War with Russia because of Ukraine?
