Paper ballots on election day only if we really want trustworthy elections. Voters must produce a valid ID.
If someone does a mail-in, those should not be anonymous. They should have a unique tracking code and a link to the signature that is scanned and stored. If proven to be fake or disputed by the real voter, then the vote must be pulled out of the vote total.

If no one believes, they will be just blatant with how bad they are cheating yet claim it works.
They already are. They just try to "gaslight" all of us and it is working with fewer and fewer, yet they still do it.

This would be a decent start to remedying some of our problems.
Digital finger printing is now very quick, and it could be used to 1). mark that you voted and 2). keep some from voting as other people.
Something has got to be done. The election theft is ridiculous now.

Once no one trusts elections they'll just stop having them. They're just there to make you feel like you have a say so in what happens in this country.
Politicians will just keep picking which of their friends they want in office

You talk to everyone you meet about political elections?

Write up a list of people who aren’t able to vote on Election Day in person. It’s probably way more than you realize. I got a dozen or more people in my family who might not be able to vote in person that day. For instance depending on work schedules the domestic and international pilots and the surgeons in my family can’t get to the polls that day.

I don't see a viable path forward. The people claiming the elections are rigged are willing to believe it with essentially no evidence.
I could pull out multiple examples, but the most obvious one that comes to mind is the idea that dominion stole the election by flipping votes.
I've heard numerous people claim that a fair election requires paper ballots because the dominion machines flipped votes and stole the election. But in reality, the dominion system allows someone to make their choices, then it spits out a printed ballot which they then turn in as their vote. This gets rid of previous issues with paper ballots such as hanging chads yet maintains the benefits of having paper ballots for hand recounts. It seems like a great system. But half the country is still under the impression that this system was hacked by foreign countries because a couple of insane lawyers said so on Fox News. No amount of facts, evidence or court rulings will change their minds.
Tucker Carlson offering Sidney Powell unlimited air time to show her evidence of her claims only to have her refuse and get angry didn't change any of their minds.
Fox News paying out almost a billion dollars didn't change any of their minds.
Sidney Powell actually used the defense "no reasonable person would conclude that her statements were statements of fact" change any of their minds.
So what exactly is the state supposed to do?

I heard local reporter talking about the low turnout in LA gov race. he interviewed several people who didn't vote of various ages and the theme was "why vote nothing ever changes"

You do realize that what you just posted is complete and total BS right? 70% believe the election was not legit. You are lying and know it. If we want BS broadcast on here we will rattle your cage.
It’s called an echo chamber, and yes the biggest problem with irrational people is that they think everyone agrees with them.

Well, this wasn't great either.
Democrats' stolen election claims.

We are at this point and only time will tell.
My theory since they stole the election is coming true, they would create so much chaos that they will push for having no election in 24’
They’ll remove Biden or he will croak & this is why the SPOH is even more important because that will be the VP if this happens.
Or, they will simply steal another election and appoint Michael and all these board idiots will be ecstatic with a Tranny in office.

The SPOH doesn't become VP just because the POTUS dies. The VPOTUS becomes POTUS and then has to select his VPOTUS who then has to be approved by majority votes in both houses of congress.

Even if you don't believe in any of the election frickery, it is damn hard to argue against this.

Its incredibly simple.
Decentralize and let precincts control elections.
Hand, paper ballots. Counted by hand (representives from both parties counting). Deadlines to report vote tallies. Have a scanner on site as a means for quality control and verify the hand tally was accurate.
Election day voting for 95%+ of people, (military, out of country, disabled, etc.) Can request an absentee ballott that requires an ID and signature

Why would I trust them.
I don't know an single Democrat at ANY level who seems to actually care if they win by cheating. Oh, they may deny cheating and that's nice I suppose. But, I don't think they actually care if their party does it.
It's that same process
Deny
Deny
Deny
OK, well, maybe a little
OK, well, even if it happened, it had to happen because reasons
OK, but Trump had to be stopped!!!!
You NEVER see Democrats at the outset of any controversy taking a firm, "that shite is fricked up if it happened and people should go to jail if it did"...............EVER

This. So simple yet 1 side is 100% opposed. This leads us right back to your OP.
I recall that local election between Democrats in GA. One candidate received 0 votes from her own precinct. She and her husband voted in that precinct. Lo and Behold, the ahem....Glitch was discovered, and she ended up winning, IIRC, or at least making a run-off.
I would contend that it is our absolute right as citizens to know and see the audits for any election.
However, your suggestion is much more reasonable and transparent.
