As pointed out, when, not if.
It will fracture, probably somewhat along current regional lines with confederation of states. Some of those will align on trade and defense.
There will also be death. A lot of it.

Urban vs rural in general, but coastal vs interior for the most part.
Urban areas require massive amounts of resources to run and the suburban and rural areas can deny them to any urban area which isn’t a major shipping hub via water.
If urban areas were blockaded to prevent supplies from going in, they would dissolve into anarchy quickly because of the logistics involved in keeping hundreds of thousands of people supplied, let alone millions.

Texas is the only self-sufficient red state, so I guess I’ll be there. I really texas would form a confederacy with its neighbors, but I don’t think there is any incentive for texas

Buffer states at the least on their parts.
