And all those immigrants are going to be arrested and sent back home.
They walked all that way and the point of entry is only a few miles east of the ocean. Too bad for them.

This is why the left hates Trump so much. He knows their political playbook and is willing to use it against them. I think the OP’s example is stupid but there is obviously merit to the idea that Trump panders to his base. Politics is a two way street with a Trump-led GOP and the propaganda war has begun. The left must own the propaganda machine or they become unglued.

I know this is going to absolutely blow your frickin mind but have you ever considered that when Trump hands a problem to someone like Mattis that he trusts them to handle it?
You also might want to consider that Trump knows when to play the problem up and when to tone it down, so that people aren't really paying as much attention to the job that is being done...

I know what your point is.
But saying Trump used the migrant topic to energize people to vote and now it's not as much of a pressing issue is a different topic than insinuating that Trump doesn't care about illegal immigration. There is rarely a press conference or rally where he doesn't bring the topic up.
