What does Skip Bertman have to do with anything?

My mailbox was stuffed full of anti-St. George flyers and the majority of them had the line "Skip Bertman is right!" Is anybody actually going to base their vote on what Skip Bertman says? One of the other flyers I received tried to tie St. George incorporation efforts to Bobby Jindal. WTF does Jindal have to do with anything? I'm beginning to think the Better Together people have some polling data that is not in their favor...at all, and are throwing a Hail Mary two days before the election.

I'm an outsider and even I believe St. George will pass overwhelmingly.

This, now SWB is wandering neighborhoods campaigning against St. George. They must know something bad (for them) is coming.

This entire affair reminds me of the Jerry Reed song "She got the gold mine (I got the shaft). All Jerry needed to do was learn how to cook and he wouldn't have had to deal with a nasty divorce. All St. George wanted was control over local schools, but they were told (by none other than former Senator Sharon Weston Broome) they must form their own city in order to do this. None of this would have happened if the original idea of "breaking away" from EBR schools would have occurred.

Bertman is a moron to get in front of an initiative that will pass with over 60% support

More like striking out. Wish they would've used Smoke Laval instead of Bertman.

St. George is happening and it can't happen soon enough. I can smell the clean, crisp freedom everywhere.

@MayorBroome spent about two hours this morning going door-to-door in the Wimbledon neighborhood. It’s an 11th hour push against the proposed city of #StGeorge. Many said they’re still undecided and confused. Hear from both sides tonight on @WAFB

Mayor Sharon Weston Broome spent two hours this morning walking neighborhood streets in Westminster, an area on the edge of the St. George footprint. She was accompanied by volunteers from the One Baton Rouge group, whose campaign literature has accused St. George organizers of overstating projected sales tax revenues and underestimating expenses.

Facts are stubborn and freedom is what people want. It’s going to happen. St. George is a symptom of the overall problem with government. People are waking up and starting to take back the power they have relinquished over the years. Trump has had a lot to do with this reawakening.

We need a new governor, a new mayor and a new president at LSU. Hopefully we get all 3.

Yep. Three goes with number one. Bug-eyed John is the only thing keeping F'king at LSU.

No reason to hate Skip, just an old guy that got dusted off and given some copy to read.
