re: What are your reasons for believing climate change is "a hoax"

quote:No. you need to be able to sum an energy balance, understand what a residual is, and look at sensitivities to modeler-chosen values. But hey you are good at counting things. Let’s just go with that
So every climate scientist that thinks man made climate change is real is stupid and just glossed over information that literally anyone with critical thinking skills would easily catch?

There are thousands of climate scientists that just aren't as adept at catching these things as you? Does that seem likely to be true?

It's a multivariate model, self serving or not.
Didn't realize it was necessary to specify a multivariate model that wasn't bullshite.
Was hoping for a stochastic Navier-Stokes model at the very least.

Can’t argue with him. Like talking to a wall. Soon he’ll be calling you a racist. It’s like clockwork

He probably should have been more specific. Really, though, the IPCC has what he's looking for, he's just too lazy or incompetent to do his own work. Or maybe he won't like what he finds and knows it.

You do that a lot when you're asked to explain something clearly beyond your level.

quote:
The role of clouds in the climate system continues to challenge the modelling of climate (e.g., Chapter 7, Section 7.2.2). It is generally accepted that the net effect of clouds on the radiative balance of the planet is negative and has an average magnitude of about 10 to 20 Wm-2. This balance consists of a short-wave cooling (the albedo effect) of about 40 to 50 Wm-2 and a long-wave warming of about 30 Wm-2. Unfortunately, the size of the uncertainties in this budget is large when compared to the expected anthropogenic greenhouse forcing. Although we know that the overall net effect of clouds on the radiative balance is slightly negative, we do not know the sign of cloud feedback with respect to the increase of greenhouse gases, and it may vary with the region. In fact, the basic issue of the nature of the future cloud feedback is not clear. Will it remain negative?
...
And yet, this question of cloud feedback remains open, and it is not clear how it will be answered. Given that the current generation of global climate models represents the Earth in terms of grid-points spaced roughly 200 km apart, many features observed on smaller scales, such as individual cloud systems and cloud geometry, are not explicitly resolved.

Has this devolved to SR projecting his intellectual insecurities yet? Nothing better than trying to win an argument via a paper-thin ego squawking for attention.

I'd put you firmly in this category as well.
Because I'm a nice guy, here's your best argument in the current meteorological literature: LINK
Let me know when you're ready for the accompanying technical discussion.

Wait, isn't this the TTWAAVAPTESFA Board?
Anyone looking for rational discussion regarding the climate on this board is on a fool's errand.

How did you post this response from your dramatically slow down internet caused by net neutrality?
Armageddon hasn't hit your house yet
