Do you remember Fast and Furious when Obama and Holder were running guns to the cartels?
Now do you understand?

What are the reasons more Republicans don’t support legalized cannabis at the federal level?

While I realize it’s an unpopular opinion, it’s a bad idea.
I thinking getting drunk is equally as stupid as getting stoned. So I’m consistent in thinking you’re stupid if you need either to improve your life, both just make it worse.

With the human trafficking and fentanyl being allowed into the country by the Biden/Obama regime, it would seem the Democrats are the party of the Cartels. You almost have to wonder who their greatest loyalties lie with: the CCP or the cartels?

Democrats control house, senate and the presidency. What's the holdup?

Well whether it’s legal or illegal, it will be bought and consumed, so the pros and cons to physical and/or mental health or the destruction to families and society, perhaps a part of the debate, but should not be the driver behind legalization, imo. As has been stated, in this thread, there are many bed fellows from local sheriffs to Mexican cartels that want it to be illegal, and it has nothing to do with the drugs potential harmful affects, but have everything to do with cash flow and keeping said entity in the green.

Other priorities right now.
There’s a House bill working it’s way through right now though. Call your elected representatives and tell them to support it.

No they would quickly acquire the majority of the market if weed were legal

because it keeps people on government payrolls.

The truth is the same truth that no one ever does anything in Washington any more except pass more spending bills. They don't want to change anything so they can argue and use it as a platform next time. Abortion laws? Nope, lets not touch that, leave it vague and grey as we can so we can bicker back and forth for years instead of putting something into actual law. Weed? Nope to that too. Lets keep saying how we would change it instead of actually changing it.

It always boils down to money.
The medical marijuana program here in Arkansas is kind of shitty, due to the owners of the cultivation licenses being in it purely for the money. They are much more concerned about quantity over quality.
Who got the licenses is kind of suspect as well.
Oklahoma has a much better program. And I'm sure the other states do too

Ok, so you're saying we should allow it? Go on record.
And no, not anyone can do it. You need massive start-up costs, loyal workers who remain silent under penalty of death, and the funds to buy off local authorities who you might need to 'look the other way'. Big foreign geopolitical adversaries like China have that kind of resources available.
No, not just anyone can do that. Not even the Mexican cartels can get that kind of foothold on US soil.
