Here's the thing.
You're in the middle east, or Vietnam, or insert other warzone.
Crowds form. They pelt with rocks, asked to disperse, more rocks, then explosives and incendiaries get mixed in.
Do you really expect soldiers, police, or other civil authority to not respond with more than some tear gas and bean bags?
People's lives are at stake and Americans and their allies are worth way more than anyone else's.

My liberal friends think we butted in where we shouldn't have and they dug their own grave. And don't support Israel at all. The Jewish liberals I know are a bit different..they don't support the government of Israel..That doesn't mean they don't love their people. But they despise Netanyahu and everything he stands for. Its an interesting dynamic to watch play out. The suspense is killing me.

Home for them is living under Israeli occupation with more and more Israeli settlements hemming them in. Perhaps read up a little on their day-to-day life to understand one reason why they might be protesting.
