I think also before the murders, he bragged that he would be the boogeyman of West Memphis.

It was after the murders he told a reporter he would "always be known as the West Memphis boogeyman".

Their convictions had not been vacated.

Its because they were guilty

The semi-retarded kid gave a full confession to a friend the next morning (as well as some sneakers with blood on them), even before the world knew the kids were dead.

1) Miskelly told the police that he confessed to Buddy Lucas, and that he gave him the shoes. There is no way the PD coaxed him on something they had no clue happened

2) Buddy Lucas indeed had the shoes when PD spoke to him. He said the confession happened in the morning. The bodies werent found until 1:45 p.m.

3) There is no way in hell that Miskelly dreamed up and named his friends as having killed "some boys", before they were even found dead. Hes retarded, but not clairvoyant. How would he even know that boys were killed? Why name himself and his friends if he wasnt there? How does his early confession contain facts later corroborated by the coroner?

4) He was there. Thats the only answer. He nailed the facts before the PD was even involved

5) Miskelly's own father took him to the PD due to his erratic behavior and confessions. Even if the PD coaxed him, his father sure as hell didnt

Haven't read through the whole thread so has perhaps been shared already, but the documentary and subsequent media/celebrity coverage gives a very one sided portrayal regarding the facts of this case and the innocence/unjust accusations against the "West Memphis Three." This site is a great reference for arguments to the contrary: LINK

It's a complicated case and we will likely never know the truth but the rush to exonerate the three has never been overly convincing to me. Lots of facts and details that leave a very sour taste regarding these three.

Yea, they got away with it.

Pretty pathetic.

And people like Johnny Depp, The fat Dixie Chic girl and Eddie Vedder need to be held accountable for helping to free these sheet stains.

The broken bottle of Evan Williams was exactly where he said it was and the lady that bought it for him corroborated his story. The defense attorney and detective Gitchell were both present and both found the broken bottle.

Those frickers got out on media pressure and favorable publicity rather than actual facts.

100%. In a case of lot of misinformation, nothing more so than Misskelley Jr.'s confession. The spin is he confessed after 12 hours and was coerced. The reality is he confessed initially after a couple of hours and at least four more times. His confession including things that only the killers would know, and the Evan Williams bottle is the key. The cops could not have planted that in his head. And it was exactly as he said.

They did it. No question. There is tons of evidence against them and not a single piece of evidence pointing to anyone else.

The father is a POS but I think they did it. Why Hollywood backed these guys is so weird. Echols has moved out of state and changed his name I believe. Miskelly was arrested again for something. Baldwin you never hear anything about him.
