Were the Memphis cops members of the "Vice Lords" gang?

quote:

We are investigating a tip that 3 of the 5 officers in the Memphis PD beating of Tyre Nichols were members of the Vice Lords gang and under their direction.

Other gang directed beatings were reportedly found on their phones.

Recordings as proof of carrying out the beating.

quote:

According to our source, they somehow were hired because the standards have dropped since police departments have had a hard time hiring, due to BLM movement.

quote:

All of the cops involved had been with Memphis PD 2-5 years each, which coincides with the exodus of White cops and the city’s stated push to hire majority (exclusively) black officers.

quote:

]Update:[/b] Allegedly there is a Bonding company in Chattanooga that many believe is financially backed by the Vice Lords. Huge bonds are being made by this one company for this certain gang.

They have members working as jail officers as well. It seems they have people everywhere.

If so, do the charges get upgraded to premeditated 1st degree murder?

Well, the cartels are running a lot is USA, so why not the Vice Lords? The Government is a gang.

Good to see I wasn’t the only one that heard that.

We’ve heard that the dead guy allegedly slept with one of the cop’s wives and this was retaliation.

We’ve heard 1-2 of the cops were members of a gang. Who knows what to believe at this point.

The rumors are out there & it makes complete sense that this was not a normal traffic stop. This was personal & it was planned. I can't wait for the actual truth to come out.

They killed a Civilian. The government killed a sitting President and his brother. Killary has suicided many. Whatever.

When a rumor confirms all your suppositions about an issue, it’s usually bogus.

At least they were a diverse group of officers that conducted the beating

From 2019

Vice Lords gang chief killed in Memphis, sparking fears of violence statewide
Ronald Terry, known as "Big Pokey" or "Porky," was killed while sitting in the front seat of a white Cadillac in Memphis.

On the day of the shooting, the Tennessee Department of Corrections locked down every prison in the state "due to information received from external law enforcement partners," according to a statement.

NBC

This is a very large and influential criminal organization and helps makes some sense of what seems like a senseless beating by these cops, who seemed to have no concern of any repercussions of their actions. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

It makes sense. That wasn't a normal traffic stop and it looked like a gang hit from the get-go. If that is the case than the charges need to be upgraded to premeditated first degree murder and the cops and whatever gang lord, they work for need to receive the death penalty and the entire Memphis police department needs to be weeded out of the bad apples. This is what happens with affirmative action.

Funny you are posting this. When I saw the video the impression I got was this goes beyond Police Brutality. The beating looked personal and more like a vendetta. IMO.

I was telling my wife the exact same thing as we watched it. There has got to be more to this story. This, (regardless of source), helps explain that feeling.
