We’re losing America!

I keep hearing this from progressive agitators scared shitless of a conservative SCOTUS. If that’s what happens what will we get?
Do they really thing constitutional originalists will be anti rights for minorities, gays, etc? No way.
They speak of internment camps....really?
Surveillance and police overreach? A conservative court would be all about individual freedoms
Do they think this hurts legalizing marijuana? States rights anyone?
What about personal property rights? Think they might support those against eminent domain?
We haven’t had the benefit of a conservative court for so long I think theyd be surprised. Sure they may have to swallow doing away with affirmative action and other institutionalized racism but racism is bad right?

The Democratic Party is in shambles and they don’t know which way to turn. They are too arrogant to see the problem which stares at them every day............in the mirror.

The entire conservative wing, save Roberts, just dissented in Carpenter vs. US (4th amendment cell phone warrant requirement case). Had the conservatives had their way cops wouldn't have to get warrants to search your cell phone data available from your provider.
I normally side with conservatives, but they certainly didn't seem to concerned about privacy and individual freedom under the 4th.

They’ve created this narrative to scare their supporters.
Without realizing that their own positions are scaring the hell out of their once mainstream, blue collar voters. Trump is single handedly wrestling the Republican Party from the elites while driving the left to go all in on their Radical Left core.
I really can’t believe what I’m watching. And that’s coming from a very skeptical Trump voter. It’s all MAGA now baby!

It’s the unwarranted surveillance I’m concerned with.
Edit: just boned up on the case and it’s very nuanced involving the third party doctrine and whether you have a right to privacy involving records held by a third party if needed in a criminal investigation.

Case basically said that in order to go and get GPS data of everywhere you have traveled in the past requires that a warrant be obtained (shouldn't matter whether it's pre or post arrest). Without requiring a warrant that basically tells police they can survey anyone, or track your phone at any time, without a warrant.
Libs and Roberts said a warrant is required. Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kennedy said no warrant should be required. Had they got there way you would have had surveillance overreach.
There was a thread on it and to my surprise even most of the hard core right people on here were saying for once they agree with the libs of the court. The conservatives where very much wanting to give the government more surveillance and ability to search without a warrant.

As I edited above it seems the distinction is the ability of LE to access third party material if part of an investigation ....and they drew a parallel to bank records and other info held by a third party.
And yes ...I do believe a warrant should be required in this case.
Still think though that blanket surveillance would be viewed differently.

Posters like Draconian Sanctions used to make ok points. While I disagreed with them, they weren’t so far gone. More dissident than anything. Now even he’s completely off the rails to the point of not even wanting to engage.
