Weird that government is basically saying aliens exist and no one seems to care

It's not a major story, if anything kind of a side story.
Aliens existing makes sense to me, it's only logical. How long have those green bastards been monitoring us? What do they want?
Or are they just setting up another elaborate psy-op? To get us all to go along with something they want us to do? This would also make logical sense as well.

They're not calling the UAP issue 'aliens' specifically, just claiming it's a mystery.
Fill in the blank is the game they're playing, and it makes them look even less competent than ever.
Anyone take the time to watch/listen to the hearing can see it was nothing but a political kabuki show of disinformation. A display of bureaucratic double speak and subterfuge which gave the appearance of official business but in fact was nothing but government Cosplay. pretending to take a situation seriously.

It's a mathematical certainty that alien life exists somewhere in the known universe. If they have the technology to cross the vast expanse of space to actually reach us they wouldn't care about our existence anymore than I ponder the thoughts of an ant crawling across my lawn

I once knew a person who used to tell jokes. Then after a while he stopped telling you he was joking. Then after more time passed he just flat out lied about everything.
He was unable to see his progression from joking to flat out luring. But it was obvious to many of his long time friends.
The point is that the government lies so much they no longer see anything wrong with it.

There is no alien craft the size that keeps showing up on these grainy photos that has traveled from outside the solar system.
If some hypothetical alien civilizations have mastered the technology of some kind of propulsion that would carry them across the galaxy, the power source couldn’t fit in a vehicle the size of a Gulfstream IV. The laws of physics just simply will not allow it. And physics work the same in the next galaxy as it does this one.

The Drake equation points to the likelihood of life existing, even intelligent life. But I’m gonna push back a little bit on the whole ‘they’re so advanced we’re just insects to them.’ We’ve harnessed nuclear energy and split the atom. That has to count for something. Also we would be doing cartwheels if we found any evidence of an ancient extinct microbe on Mars. Let alone a living specimen.
Any intelligent life which has taken the time and effort to develop a technology that allows them to travel across light years will certainly be drawn to the uniqueness that is life on this planet.
Or they are just after some of our natural resources and are waiting for us to off ourselves
