Will a wall keep some people out? Sure but it won’t keep out nearly enough to make any sort of noticeable difference. I just have a hard time justifying 20 billion for a symbolic barrier, I’d rather see it used on ways that get results.
I think you're taking this too literally. There will not be a solid border wall.

Are you a border expert? Again, I'm really not trying to call you out.
I’ll admit that I may be wrong and the wall may stop the illegal immigrantion but you have to admit that we’ll feel pretty stupid if 10 years after the wall is built we haven’t seen any meaningful decline in immigration.

Ever heard of hyperbole?
I'm gonna google it later.
Actually, the wall will keep out well over 175%+ of of criminal aliens. This will happen because after the difficulty of trying to breach the wall is known and the number of aliens failing and beaten by border agents, the ones who were shopping on line for the best "border jumpin'" boots will just say..."AW..frick it. Why bother."

So when an area builds a toll road, and says users will pay for it, did you think they all got together and sent in a check to the govt to build that road?
Because in the real world, the govt paid for the initial construction. And over time, the money was recouped. Same concept on the wall
How do you function, day to day? I cannot even imagine the frick ups that you've become accustomed to as part of your daily decision making

You are getting called a shill here for one simple reason; you are willfully ignoring the facts about this proposal. Like it or not, funding mechanisms have been hotly debated, from liquidation of siezed cartel assets worth billions to taxes on foreign wire transfers. The most common being a withholding of foreign aid to Mexico. The average illegal is a net burden of around 10k annually on the us taxpayer, so there's that. No one ever, once said that Nieto was writing a check.
That's just a pretty pathetic straw man that only shills use.
You are absolutely correct.
OP is ignoring the possible solutions.

All I need to know is where to mail the check.
A GoFundMe for the Wall would have it up in no time
at all.

Once the bleeding of illegals stop the tax dollars saved on them will pay for the wall a 1000x over. You are a dumb arse if you really thought Mexico was going to hand over the money literally.
Actually the easier way would be to attach a percentage fee to all monies wired back to south of the boarder. That amount is rumored to be more than 2.4 billion dollars. So a 5% fee would bring in 120 million a year.

Reputable link to all that? Or are you moving goal posts and making up stuff to help you feel better?
Lulz. Google is hard, apparently.
How about you link me to the "reputable" site where Trump said that we were getting a check or cash from Mexico.

Maybe schmucks like you didn't think we would began building the wall before we got the money to build it from Mexico but nobody who is a Trump Trooper thought that we would have to get the money from Mexico before we could begin building the wall.
Trump Troopers knew that first we would appropriate tax payer money to begin building the wall then that money would eventually be paid back to us by Mexico in some manner.

Hey bozo, it's a compromise.
That's something Dums talk about doing but never do.
