Of course, there's basically no due process over there now. Human rights groups know that some innocent people are being imprisoned, but no one in or outside of El Salvador has any recourse.

Laken Riley has no recourse either. No due process. Is it either this or that? Being too soft or too hard on crime? Maybe.

How was that data achieved?

And you referenced this, specifically in OP (see the bold)

Pointing out you made a bad point isn't "irrelevant"

Is overly lenient sentencing over and over part of our right (sic), friend?

In some instances. Penalties have to be proportionate to the crime. You're not going to get some huge mandatory sentence for petty thefts or other small crimes. That disproportionality would be illegal.

Completely subjective and has been used consistently in enabling the leniency that I mentioned.

Then amend the Constitution, America-hater.

You consistently misunderstand/avoid good questions and points being made. Because is this, a Question like that must be asked for the purpose of clarity. To prove you understand exactly what is being discussed, and of course you failed. Again.

That's irrelevant to the BOP of any individual crime.

And, just so you know, in almost every state, "other crimes evidence" can even be used at trial (as fricked up as that is).

The system is slanted against the defendant these days.

This is the system you defend.

I defend this system to protect innocent people accused of crimes. You pretend that can't happen for some reason.

Oh now you're conflating NPC talking points. A double debasement, if you will.

Her killer is used for the NPC argument on illegal aliens, not the one about violent offenders being released. Get it right.

You will receive the just deserts of your arrogance one day. Your type always does. It won’t happen on a message board, though. I’m done with you here. Are you capable of true introspection? I have no problem admitting when I’m wrong. That seems impossible for you.

Is this why liberal activist judges and DA's are so soft on crime?

I defend this system to protect innocent people accused of crimes. You pretend that can't happen for some reason.

This soft-on-crime system run by liberals enables criminals to do bad things to innocents.

Yes. That isn't needed for this relatively simple conversation, though.

Relying on reality is enough.

I am not a supporter of illegal immigration, if that's the strawman you're building.

This has nothing to do with our Constitutional rights in the criminal justice system.

I didn’t say you supported that. I said you support liberal soft on crime policies that can make any innocent a victim. It’s Every criminals right to frick with others.

It's only dumb when you make an argument that doesn't make sense. When I label an emotional argument emotional, it's not dome. When you label a non-emotional argument as emotional, it's dumb.

Hopefully this lesson taught you something.

quote:

didn’t say you supported that. I

Well you use an example where the only real criminality was illegal immigration. You're not exactly making sense because, as I pointed out, you're conflating NPC talking points.

quote:

I said you support liberal soft on crime policies that can make any innocent a victim

Your example doesn't support this argument.

quote:

It’s Every criminals right to frick with others.

No, it's not. That's exactly why we have a criminal justice system.

Also, I know this may blow your mind, but crimes are not committed against people. They're committed against the government that has jurisdiction. That's why when you read a case caption for a criminal matter, it's some version of government versus the defendant. Like, the people of New York versus defendant or here, the state of Louisiana versus defendant.

This may be too difficult for you to understand though
