Right now you have competing possible EOs, presidential and gubernatorial. Right now it is a gray area on the ranking preference, but businesses are going to go with Federal to be safe.

Pretty sure a Presidential EO cannot supersede a state law though. This is where the party will start. Texas will be able to unleash havoc to businesses forcing it.

Some Judge will strike it down, but appeals should overturn it.

And Texas will ignore the judge because the judge would have no grounds

Laws.....nobody obeys them anyway!

Biden has destroyed the justice system, among other things.

We need American citizens to burn some blue cities and say “frick your mandates”

I am vaccinated. I recommend it. I support every citizen’s right to choose ( and ESPECIALLY to choose for their children).

YES! That would LA's milquetoast AG Landry another opportunity to talk a lot, write a letter, but do nothing as per usual.

Texas legislature session is in right now and they could pass a law within the week if they wanted.

It would be far less controversial than the abortion and powered through that.

Everyone is focused on this OSHA 100 thing but no one is talking about the EO that Biden put into motion 3 weeks before OSHA, and that was the weaponizing of Center for Medicare Services to mandate all employees of nursing homes/LTC facilities. This is huge because if this gets codified in federal Medicare/state Medicaid statutes, then it trickles down and becomes precedent for every other arrangement whereby there is federal dollars in play, directly like in Medicare or matched like in state medicaid.

This is the real Trojan Horse imo that no one is focused on until it could be too late.

I want to see push come to shove in Texas. I'm wanting to see if the Baws will rush to the aid of Texas like 1836.

Gotta love the party of "small government" wanting mandates all over the place.

Hate to tell you, but a mandate forcing businesses to not do a thing is still gov intervention and a mandate.

I have come out since the beginning being against the national mandate, and the Texas thing is just as dumb by forcing businesses to do a thing. Just let them all decide for themselves if they want to mandate it or not.

I think this statement sounded better in your head, like keeping it a random fleeting thought and not committing it to paper. This is just an out-of-touch comment if that's what you truly believe.

This is a tired argument. Small government does not equal no government. Our entire government was founded on passing laws to protect individual freedoms. Do you think small government people should be asking for the removal of the Bill of Rights? It does contribute to the size of government after all.

Nope. A business is only entitled to the labor of their employee which was agreed upon in exchange for wages. Nothing more. Employing someone does not give you the right to make personal decisions for them.
