So Asians and whites cant be mentally ill?
Worst doctor I ever had was a normal middle aged white dude with impeccable bedside manner. Maybe the best bedside manner I’ve ever seen to this day.
Caused my family so much trauma. Misdiagnosed dad with hep C, causing mom for a period of time to believe he cheated.
Then punctured mom’s lung giving an injection. She recognized something was wrong. He told her everything seemed fine & let her drive home. Fortunately, she drove to the emergency room instead. Her lung had collapsed by the time she’d arrived.
We found a new family doctor after that. This was in the 90s & I doubt this guy still practices medicine.
Moral of the story: Judge doctors based on reputation & quality of care. Sometimes this board feels like the internet’s psych ward.

If it’s OK for blacks to say they support black doctors, then it’s ok for whitey to do the same.

I’ve got news for you, very few doctors are being accepted to med school who don’t at least play ball with the DEI stuff regardless of race or sex.
It’s going to get far worse before it gets better.

There was a black surgeon at the hospital I worked at.Excellent surgeon,I would have been happy for him to operate on me or anyone in my family.
I took care of many of his pts.over the years.
He told me one day,out of the blue,he got into Tulane Medical School under Affirmative Action. Not sure why he told me that.
When Obama ran for president he was very much against him.He said it to me and some others.

quote:at first I thought you were a brainwashed idiot, but I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt - you’re gay and just enjoy the way white and Asian men give you a prostrate exam. They know what they are doing bc they are big, strong, smart men! That’s ok. You do you!
I will only see white or Asian male right wing doctors,

Where can I find myself one of these surgeons with affirmative action Tourette’s who also discuss politics with their patients?
True or not, the moral of this story would still be to judge doctors based on reputation & quality of care.

Interesting points. I think your intentions are good. But I don't want to blacklist doctors on beliefs and speech. On actions? You bet your arse. It's a tough life in America where we are free to think and speak but on action? No, certain actions deserve sanctions and if necessary, jail time. We don't want to become Russia, Iran or PRoNK.

I didn’t say he discussed politics with pts.He would make comments to me and some of the staff.

That checks out. HR won’t touch physicians unless they whip it out or something, and even then… lol. Not cool but surgical specialists don’t grow on trees.

I just want to ensure I'm not seeing a DEI MD, it's a simple process.
