Union support is a natural populist position, its bound to happen.

Trump wanted to win.

You wouldn’t know anything about that.

You are like the leftists and their purity tests that pushed these guys to Trump.

Unions are not bad per se.

People want to join a union, that is their choice.

bullshite typically associated with unions:
- Closed shop (forced to be in the unions and pay dues)
- Automatic paycheck deduction (members should be forced to fork over the money to trigger a value judgement).

If a union leader supporting Trump means MAGA is coming full circle with unions, then the same can be said for your alignment with the democrats and media who are trashing Trump and the bill.

Unless you want to be hypocritical, of course.

I agree with this. As well, some of the best people I have worked with have been in unions and been union leaders.

The real problem with the unions is not “closed shop” legislation in some states, nor required dues deduction. The real problem they have is the same as the Democratic Party;……. some terrible and corrupt leaders that are setting those organizations on a path to ruin.

I agree with your take. The "something for nothing" cancer of the D party will corrupt just about anything.

I would argue that closed shop and automatic payroll deduction enables the leaders to take advantage of the situation. They leave the worker as a hapless participant in the corrupt system with no recourse.

Isn't it ironic that Trump is so anti-trade deficit, but pro the people who made the trade deficit necessary?
