re: We don’t have to go to war with the Mexican Cartels. Just enact Philip Buchanan’s plan.

You do, indeed... You shut down the flow above ground.

Small seismic chart recorders would also have to be placed at every tower/every 200 yards or so as well. The cartels have nearly infinite funds and have their own directional drilling capabilities now, and they tunnel hundreds of yards right under the border and pass beneath BP's feet completely unnoticed. Human and sex slave trafficking as well as tons of illegal narcotics, every day, pass through these tunnels.

But, to your point, securing the topside would allow Border Patrol/Customs to focus more on what they can't see, and free up resources to do so.

build up fortress where drugs come in and this will have a 0% effect on supply?.
Yes. Have you learned nothing from history? Name one successful battle in the war on drugs - ever. If you don't damage demand, supply will find a way. Full stop.

Wrong the biggest flow of drugs into the US is via container ships and railroad.

I do enjoy reading about how fentanyl gets into the country according to "authorities" who had no idea most of it was here in the first place. The FACT is you are citing people who have no clue as to the mode of entry of most fentanyl.
I am?

Why?
Because in a safe, reliable illegal border crossing a cartel mule can easily carry 10 lbs in a backpack.

What is the significance of 10 lbs?
Ten pounds of fentanyl represents ~ 10K-20K 'hits' and is enough to kill between 2,500,000 and 10,000,000 people via O/D depending on mode of use.
I know all this. Which is why it's put into very obscure places in LEGALLY CROSSING VEHICLES that are very very difficult to detect given the massive amount of LEGAL border crossings daily.

One stat was something like you could fit the entirety of one year of US fentanyl supply into 2 pickup truck beds. Now imagine spreading that across 1000 pickup trucks - and not in the bed.

Unless you are pulling statements out of your arse, yes, you are.

I've said something similar to this many times. While some may call it brutal, I figure before you killed 50 or so, word would be out and the invasion would come to a screeching halt. Thousands of lives would be saved every year, simply from people NOT trying to illegally enter this country.

It's an odd strategy for a misdemeanor.

When does a misdemeanor become a felony? It's a misdemeanor when I steal a ten cent piece of candy. When I steal a semi truck load of candy, it becomes a felony.

The US taxpayer is on the hook for an (under)estimated 20 billion dollars per year to care for criminal illegals. That should be a felony for the people who continue to allow it alone. Then we can talk about the murders, rapes, robberies and other felony crimes these illegals perpetrate on Americans daily.

Before I answer, are you going to tell me that treaties and international law (that we agree with) isn't a law? And will you ignore the fact that its literally murder in any state in the US?

Sure they are law. But laws can be changed.

If someone sneaks into my house and I kill them then no it isn’t murder. If our country is being invaded and we use force to protect it, then no, I do not believe that is murder.

The flow of drugs?

Also, the vast majority of the fentanyl is crossing at legal crossings.

Scrub, I bet with $100BN we could defend our border instead of other countries borders and we could literally have every gadget we needed at the "legal checkpoints." In fact, we could have all kinds of hi-tech shite to keep drugs from coming in from Mexico.

But what about muh manpower at the border you might say? - Well, we could of also hired 89K border patrol and ICE agents instead of witch hunting PTA board members with weaponized IRS agents.
