These lawyers confuse me. When did lawyers become elwvated to the status of social guides...almost priest like? These guys purport to sanctimoniously speak on behalf of an entire race of people, as though they are experts in morality. I know lots of lawyers. Many are complete idiots. Getting a law degree doesn't make you wiser...and it sure as hell doesn't make you a leader of morality.

They are definitely clergy in civic religion. And it's part and parcel of why our swamps (not just the one on the Potomac) are so swampy. We need fewer lawyers and more doers in offices. We're ruled by politburo.
And I say this as a lawyer, who would never in a million years run for office (if for no other reason than my posts on this board lol)

They lied their azzes off. Said all the police had to do was to be patient and talk. They talked for over 30 minutes. They said no sobriety test was issued. That was a lie. He was given the test and failed. They said there was no reason to arrest the victim. He was confused as Joe Biden and drunk. He resisted arrest, fought the police, pointed a weapon at them and discharged the weapon.

One of the key parts of the definition of a “profession” is that it’s self-regulating. I don’t see too much of that from lawyers.
