Watching CNN for the narrative on Trumps press briefing today: pathetic

“Trump couldn’t handle Nancy Pelosi having the spotlight and like a 5yr old and tried to steal it back and not let her have her time”
“Trump was surrounded by union guys who support him” (but I thought Trump was against organized labor?)
“Trump is a con man who never intended to build a wall and his base can’t see it” (too stupid)
“A wall is not what the American people want”
Not once did they show what the career CBP officials said about how critical the wall is to border security and how well it works where we have it.
They also emphasized Pelosi’s quote of Reagan saying “if we close our doors we cease to be what makes America...”. ....completely distorting Reagan’s words and implying Reagan was ok with illegal immigration (as opposed to legal)
It’s tough to watch, but it’s worth knowing what BS they are pedaling.
Taking one for the team baws.

His briefing was all of 5 min - not something that’s effective if you’re trying to steal media time - and those visitors were planned long ago. He wanted the people to hear what he was hearing in private - that the wall is critical and works, from the professionals who do the work - as opposed to politicians and pundits who say it won’t work.
It was a great move and disarmed the lefts BS argument regardless of timing.

Agreed. I’ve come to the conclusion that for the wall to happen Trump needs to pass that torch to someone else to carry for him - like he did today.
If someone other than Trump - who is credible- makes a case, it has a much better chance to succceed. That would be his play from here forward. More of what he did today. A lot more.

That is not what they are elected for. If they can't put their animosity for the man away to do what's best for the country... Then they shouldn't hold their positions.

I agree in principle, but that’s not how the world works. The mark of a great leader is getting others to champion your vision and execute it and knowing when you have to execute that path to succeed.

I agree. Sadly we are not far from banana republic. They keep playing and the msm reporters and the like won't be spared against the wall.
