The Gaetz chatter from the media going forward is going to be interesting. The Gaetz legal team has apparently notified many Legacy Media outlets, “be careful” because if you slander and libel Mr. Gaetz we are coming after the company and personalities. And probably insinuated that the Trump AG will make your life a living hell, so knock it off.

yes. Just becuase you make a correction or recant your statement doesn't mean it's not out there. Think of it this way: if someone tweets "Gaetz has sex with a minor" it probably gets retweeted millions of times, it's hot news. If that same person later tweets "It was totally wrong Gaetz is innocent", it's not hot news and nobody retweets it.
This is deliberate and the slander still stands.
