Average lefty US social media user: The Ukranian flag looks so cool as my background image.

There are many parallels between this war and Vietnam, especially the corrupt and low strategic value of the country in question as disproportionate to stoking a war with a major nuclear power, and also mission creep and American overconfidence come to mind. The scary thing is that the current POTUS and DOD heads are far less intelligent than the people in the JFK, LBJ, and RMN administrations. We may be getting into a major global war while led by a bunch of affirmative action hires and ivy league people who have never held a rifle.

Never held a rifle and just got defeated by Afghani goat herders.
God knows how incompetent the military now is with the PC run rampant last couple of years we've had.

The article should have read "19FortyFive". It's a military and national defense website.

Because those in Washington and Brussels who started this war believe they're immune from a nuclear Holocaust.

Right now, Ukraine has less warm bodies than Russia.
Perhaps, But Russia also has many, many more cold bodies both 200's and those freezing their drunk asses off in the woods with little in the way of logistical support.

How do you see this playing out?
Regime change in Russia. Ukraine was not an existential threat to Russia like Nazi Germany was and Russia is running out of minorities, prisoners and drunks to mobilize. The next wave will hit the more functional. Russia won't endure this shite till the end Putin desires.
Putin didn't have boots and weapons for the almost 300k he mobilized last Fall, how does he implement another mobilization. People are getting curious what is left of the almost 550,000 he has already pissed away in Ukraine.
