I think he was implying that we all know welfare is mostly fraud but there is nobody here to cuss at you for saying that
You’d have to go to jaguardroppings

i'm sure you think this is clever, but it's an insult that doesnt really make any sense in this context. be well, friend.

If you’re close to retirement. Go and get any kinda aching nagging injuries from service noted in your medical jacket and then 18 months before you ETS start filing and come out of active duty you should have your benefits. Caveat to that is you have to go over 50 % benefit to receive your VA benefits and your DFAs retirement.

quote:And when the majority of people complaining about it misunderstand the program in mission and practice you end up with this same shite show thread every week. To make matters worse, there are usually a handful of clearly imaginary anecdotes about a brother-in- law getting 10 grand a month after getting herpes in AIT or something.

These guys expose themselves as liars to veterans because they don't know what they don’t know but plenty of other posters believe the bullshite claims.
Those people are intentionally telling lies to turn public sentiment against veterans. Any of those guys reading this should ask themselves what their true motivations are behind trying to frick over veterans because it's pitiful.

I was with you through the first paragraph but you lost me with accusing people of just being liars out to get you.

He never did that, but there are a lot of liars, and since VA disability payments are public, any of you idiots could have googled it.

What’s interesting is that if you guys met me in real life you’d probably all like me. And I’d probably like all of yall. But bc I’ve touched the third rail, you’re all ready to string me up.

You really need to read for comprehension. I said the people making up stories are liars. And they are by definition.

You agree or do you prefer a gentler term for people who claim things that never happened actually did happen?
Posted on 7/16/26 at 5:40 pm to northshorebamaman
I think it’s most likely a combination of misremembering, misunderstanding, and some exaggeration. What I don’t think it is is a bunch of traditionally pro-military conservative dudes on the most conservative board on one of the most conservative websites on the internet just randomly started making up stories whole cloth to paint all veterans in a bad light with the sole intention of turning public sentiment against veterans just to frick us over. That is so illogical that it borders on paranoid delusion.

Then you haven't been in many of these threads. It's extremely common to see posters in these threads making detailed claims about close family members, friends, and coworkers that are simply impossible. I'll post some up for you later tonight when I'm not on my phone for you to either try to explain, or more likely, pretend you didn't see when you realize how silly you'll look if you try to explain them away.
Posted on 7/16/26 at 5:52 pm to northshorebamaman
I won’t pretend anything. I haven’t seen claims that are obviously intentionally false. But I may have missed something, I haven’t kept up with every single post.

Well in this very thread we have a claim about a "25 year recruiter" who somehow "maxes" every soldier's rating. Do you believe that?
