From what I have read, the Pond is a popular place for paddleboards and kayaks, with several public access points.

Give it a day or two. They deceased will be identified, and the other guy will be giving interviews.

Valid point. I will concede that he has been identified.

I still think it more likely that they are withholding the name to find and notify family, rather than there being some grand conspiracy.

If he has not been named in the media by tomorrow and if the second guy is not out giving interview, that view may well be subject to change.
