I never thought I’d live to see the day when people are saying the GOP needs more politicians willing to compromise on their values.

It raises the same question I had about Romney, and many asked for years. “What the point of winning an election, if you implement your opposition’s policies?”

Trump is pragmatic. Trump is willing to compromise, and even to back off of ideas that aren't working to try a different approach.
Ah yes! The John McCain approach. Is that want we voted for?

The unified left has forced us into this area. Time to unite or lose. Pick a side.

Sorry man. I'm never uniting with Bernie and Liz Warren. But you do you!

quote:

On "The Daily Show" Monday night, the liberal comic told self-described democratic socialist Bernie Sanders that Trump is carrying out the Vermont senator's "revolution."

"You could almost make a case that the true inheritor of the Sanders revolution is Trump," Stewart said.

"He is the most socialist president of my lifetime."

"Taking a percentage of companies to do business? That's a Bernie Sanders idea. Doing TrumpRx where the government is involved in selling pharmaceuticals? That's a Bernie Sanders idea."

Then Stewart doubled down.

"Is it frustrating that the thing that you fought for your whole career, Democrats are the ones who run away from scared and Trump has embraced some of it?" he asked.

You either unite with the united liberal nut jobs or you unite with the normal m, but fractured republicans.

Those are your only 2 choices.

Did anyone ever imagine 40 years ago that our own Government would become so bad that not only did they go against the people... And control those they didn't want in the club. But then they created ways to pin the people of one party against the other.
