Walmart caves... CNBC

Arrrrggghhhh... I'll have to reduce shopping at another company now.

- Walmart on Friday told employees that it will expand abortion and related travel coverage, according to an internal memo.

- Effective immediately, Walmart’s health-care plans will cover abortion “when there is a health risk to the mother, rape or incest, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage or lack of fetal viability.”

- Walmart is the nation’s largest private employer with about 1.6 million employees.

UPDATE: the problem I have, it our 'medical community (notably MD's and practitioners) have become activists today.

It will go something like this. How many or which of the following can the professional tick. Because they've already said they will/are/would do it.

-Severe pregnancy complications are making it impossible for you to continue with the pregnancy
-You need a treatment such as chemotherapy or medication that you can’t have while you’re pregnant
-The pregnancy is putting your health or life at risk
-Giving birth would put your health or life at risk
-You are at high risk of a miscarriage or stillbirth, so it is safer for you to have an abortion
-A serious or fatal foetal abnormality was found during your antenatal tests
-The pregnancy isn’t viable, for example if you have an ectopic pregnancy

That won't be enough for the baby killers. Those are conditional.

I’m ok with this. This is the whole point conservatives have of sending the power back to the states- give people the power to choose if they want to align themselves with these types of policies or not.

This is a 100000% reasonable stance on abortion coverage.

I'm not fine with an immoral stance, regardless of whether or not the principles of our government are followed.

That said, it seems that Wal-Mart's position is more reasonable than most who are doing this.

So, no abortion coverage.

This seems to be the best move forward.

These options should allow for a choice. Abortion should not be used as birth control, but it should be available when medically necessary or if someone is raped.

You can't enforce 0 abortions just like the left can't enforce 0 covid.

If you want to play by a harder set of rules, do it. Don't force others to do so in terrible spots.

Virtue signaling and they'll never even have to do anything.

I'm surprised Walmart didn't go further.

The Walton Family is pretty woke these days.

So Walmart is killing it’s future customers.

Seems like a bad business plan.
