About 20 years too late, yet perfectly timed to go after Roy Moore.

quote:

The Democrats aimed at Roy Moore, but Bill Clinton was standing in their way.

So Bill Clinton is now a smoldering husk of humanity.

After Hillary Clinton’s presidential loss, it became both convenient and useful to discard her alleged sexual predator spouse — a man the media feted repeatedly last year as a halcyon of decency. Now, Bill could safely be relegated to the semen-stained ashbin of history.

And so Bill Clinton has become the Barry Bonds of politics: a once-celebrated superhero, now disgraced. This week, a New York Times columnist said she believed Juanita Broaddrick, who first accused Clinton of rape some 25 years ago; The Atlantic also ran a better think piece talking about Clinton’s status as a suspected predator.

Now, it’s the execrable Matt Yglesias at Vox.com, in a 2000-word essay about just why Clinton should have resigned from office in 1998.

Yglesias admits that at the time, he wanted Clinton to stay: he was “glad to see Clinton prevail and regarded the whole sordid matter as primarily the fault of congressional Republicans’ excessive scandal-mongering.” But, Yglesias now admits, “I think we got it wrong. … What we should have talked about was men abusing their social and economic power over younger and less powerful women.”

Yesterday, Rush predicted more of this coming. The Clintons are on their way out, so the left will turn on Bill for crap he did decades ago to try to smear Trump now.

This guy and all the rest like him can die in a fire they themselves lit.

Yeah, I have to say the people who just defend their home team no matter how nefarious they may be really pisses me off. The Democrats should have exposed this in 1992, and then their party wouldn't be the disaster it is today filled to the brim with sexual predators. They let a fox in the henhouse and they are finally experiencing karma.

20???

How about 1?

All of these useful idiots were defending him and his complicit wife the entire campaign and now we are supposed to care about their faux outrage? It’s all just political theater.

It's actually 25 since Juanita Broderick first openly accused Clinton in 1992.

Hey guys watch me condemn a politician I’ve blindly supported for 20 years who is now out of politics and will never hold public office again so I can seem impartial and consistent while I blindly attack a right wing candidate for doing the same thing my guy did for years while I turned a blind eye!!!

Does he think anyone falls for this shite?

And they will immediately pivot if a prominent Dem gets imbroiled in a scandal in the future.

It only matters NOW because they think they're going to stick a thumb in Trump's eye.

Pathetic.

Because, whether you agree with it or not, socio-cultural norms regarding sexual assault and feminism have shifted since the early 90’s. If Bill Clinton was running for senator of Arkansas in 2016 and his alleged victims came out a la Roy Moore, democrats would be calling for him to step down.

For what it’s worth, just being plugged into the NYC news, the Jersey dem party is going to skewer Menendez and replace him. As, you know, any party should if their guy is a sexual assaulter.

Also, y’all are pissed that a liberal journalist is agreeing with you that Bill is a sleeze? How are we supposed to get anything done when you completely discount a liberal when they are agreeing with you?

I see this “too little too late” shite on the left too and it pisses me off. frick purity tests.

The didn't get it wrong. They simply ignored it. They knew exactly what it was back then.

I don't mind the average democrat looking the other way. That was standard on both sides back then.

It wasn't standard for NOW and Gloria to stay silent. Their anemic response is probably the biggest blight on the feminist movement in my lifetime. They should be ashamed. It was 100% political. They knew Bill was a scoundrel. They went after Bob Packwood with sharp knives, pitchforks and torches but hid in the closet during the Clinton scandal.
