Last I knew, you dont get a PH for a vehicle being attacked. Hes an officer, so not really surprised.

He’s a bumbling fool - pasty, clammy, WEAK, slack-jawed and out of shape. Not all war wounds are heroic.

You do if you’re injured. What was his injury is my question?

quote:

(2) A wound is defined as an injury to any part of the body from an outside force or agent sustained under one or more of the conditions listed above. A physical lesion is not required, however, the wound for which the award is made must have required treatment by a medical officer and records of medical treatment for wounds or injuries received in action must have been made a matter of official record.

And that's still sustaining injuries under enemy fire.

CIB would be explainable by an attack, PH neccesarily doesn't automatically qualify. I'm assuming TBI or PTSD, but I dont think PTSD qualifies.

He was 25th ID. If he was in a firefight, he gets a CIB.

There are plenty of reasons to hammer this dude, but his combat record isn't one of them.

You don't know that. Something seems fishy about this guy. He is clearly not military material. LOOK at him.

I'm pretty sure I saw a special forces patch on him. So a CIB wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Because there's no evidence he didn't deserve his CIB and PH?

Cmon man, we're literally on a subject about the need for evidence of a claim, and here you are making a claim without evidence.

There's no evidence that he DID deserve them.

99% of the time when someone wins these awards, when he/she is publicly lauded the backstory is also told.

Example: "Officer Vindman exited his military vehicle and returned fire against the enemy, successfully fighting off the attack, but not before sustaining gunshot and shrapnel wounds."

Nothing like this is ever said about his commendations. It's just "he served. He was awarded blah blah."

The problem is the Army has too much shite on their uniforms. Sincerely, Marine :)
