Hassan Rouhani yesterday
Talking about the US accidentally downing Flight 655 leaving Iran. Very ironic given they accidentally downed one themselves today it looks like.

Gee imagine that Iran has stated they will not turn over the black boxes for investigation.

I didn’t even know missiles have shrapnel. Also, the shrapnel would’ve had to come from an explosion above the wing.
Interesting.
Interesting.

Possibly a missile caused the technical failure?

That’s not how missiles work. They cause an explosion failure
99% of the time you're correct but we have a new missile does some extreme shite.....I can't elaborate.

If it exploded the metal casing would have gone flying. I don’t think it would simply vaporize. Maybe the missile shot high and exploded above the wing? Not sure, and n sure that’s even what we are looking at. Just something to think about.

These guys can’t find reverse on a soviet tank but they’re trusted with negotiating the difference between enemy aircraft and civilian passenger planes?

Wonder why so many Canadians

Why any westerners go to Iran is baffling

Doubt that it was a “technical issue.” More likely an anti-aircraft round hit a fuel tank. That would explain the gradual descent with the plane on fire as the pilots fought to maintain control and the explosion before the plane hit the ground.

I would guess that you’re either military or affiliated with a large DoD contractor that operates in central Florida. Could be wrong, obviously, but even based on my very limited, unclassified knowledge of what’s been developed by one or the other in recent years, I’m not sure the general public is aware of just how “smart” American missiles have become. I know I wouldn’t have been under different circumstances.
