So she has bribed enough of the military to admit the US is going to be involved.
Its pretty simple, she switches teams to team USA and then gets a lot of credit for restoring normality to a country thats basically an anarchy with our support.
Big win for her, now their military is on board.
And we don't need to send any troops.
Everyone wins...
Except China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, etc...

I think this is exactly right, and the Trump Administration has a good plan. The biggest obstacle is the relatively low price of oil. Are American oil companies willing to invest billions without assurances of stability post-Trump?
I think most of us think Vance or Rubio will succeed Trump, but we're not risking billions based on that.

This seems pretty much how I think it went down.
And yes she will put some stuff out via media sounding strong an a little defiant to the US to make herself look good with some in her country. She’s probably doing the right things behind the scenes.

Rubio acting on orders from the Don gave her an offer she couldn't refuse

But if you are the US, how do you take out a Socialist dictator and replace them with…another socialist from the exact same govt? In fact their own VP…

Trump is certainly doing the bidding for someone. It doesn’t appear to be us.

A message from Venezuela to the world, and to the United States:
Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to peace and peaceful coexistence. Our country aspires to live without external threats, in an environment of respect and international cooperation. We believe that global peace is built by first guaranteeing peace within each nation. We prioritise moving towards balanced and respectful international relations between the United States and Venezuela, and between Venezuela and other countries in the region, premised on sovereign equality and non-interference. These principles guide our diplomacy with the rest of the world. We invite the US government to collaborate with us on an agenda of cooperation oriented towards shared development within the framework of international law to strengthen lasting community coexistence. President Donald Trump, our peoples and our region deserve peace and dialogue, not war. This has always been President Nicolás Maduro's message, and it is the message of all of Venezuela right now. This is the Venezuela I believe in and have dedicated my life to. I dream of a Venezuela where all good Venezuelans can come together. Venezuela has the right to peace, development, sovereignty and a future.
Delcy Rodríguez
Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

You know, when Matt Dillon backhands a bad guy, usually because Marshal Dillon has heard enough mouth, the SOB has a hard time standing up again. Usually stumbles around for a bit then hits the road.
Maduro got the President Trump backhand this weekend. Seems like acting President Delcy Rodriguez don't want the backhand.
