He’s a solid outsider pick with good future prospects

I wonder if the events of Saturday night had any impact on who he ultimately chose

Add to that the fact that Vance will have none of their wars and this is a conservative's nightmare.

Neocon nightmare not a conservative

You're the one that sounds angry.

I didn’t read angry. Seems more observant. It’s been difficult for many conservatives over time to come to grips with what the leadership has become: ignoring fiscal responsibility for the gold you personally gather with Any War at Any Time in Any Location for Any Duration Policy.

The dream of a strong military and the perpetual gravy train it brings you disappears with economic collapse.

The more leftist loons I see commenting on Vance, the more I like him.

I worked in Washington for almost two decades. I've raised millions for numerous nonprofits, put words into the mouths of a litany of statesmen, including multiple presidents ...

Name them. Name who, when ... and the words.

quote:

I've worked on several political campaigns. I am of the opinion that I have forgotten more about politics that your pedestrian, couch-cochero arse will ever know.

Ohhhh, I dunno. I've piddled-around here and there. Organized and/or attended a fundraiser or two. A strategy session when asked to attend from time to time, different national, state and local candidates from SC.

You'd probably be surprised ... if you are as connected as you claim to be.

No inner circle politico in this country would validate your contention. No political historian nor any pundit of note would point a finger at an entire generation born between 1948 and 1964. When, in fact, the major socialist, marxist, communist influencers - those well-known provacatuers - were deceivingly known as the Silent Generation born between 1928 and 1947.

From that generation you'll find Bill and Hillary Clinton. Bill Ayers. Noam Chomsky. All of Weather Underground and so on and so forth et al., I could list thousands more including Jane Fonda and all of her anti establishment minions.

You're pointing the finger at the wrong generation slick.

I'm not calling you a liar with regard to your claimed connections .... that's neither here nor there. You could walk up to Nikki Haley or Lindsey Graham right now and ask them "who is Rooster in SC?" ... and they would tell you. It's been my nickname since 1972 for a reason and .... well, it doesn't matter. My father, God Bless him and may he RIP, actually was a political player in this state. Presidents Reagan and both Bushes, as well as Bob Dole, were brought to our family restaurant for fundraisers by the likes of Strom Thurmond and Floyd Spence .... and a kid my Dad mentored from Newberry College, Lee Attwater. Back then, when possible, I was there in dress greens and beret down from Bragg to take pictures with them ... and I've played the game every since for these past 45 years.

And I can tell you .... no politico of meaning would give your claim of blaming an entire boomer generation for all our county's ills .... one iota of valudation.

And oh, btw, I sold Politico to Tribune Media although, I didn't know it at the time ... it was through a broker and they offered too much to turn down. They bought my redirect The Politico at the same time.

That was pre Obama and I was neck deep in it by that time and pulling over 500k unique page views a day.

So if you are who you say you are, you'll have no problems finding out who am I ... it's that easy. They'll tell you about my service years, my business years, my activist years and now my retirement years where we just unseated the RINO in 23 with a future Governor, if not more.

I'm still active. And you're dead wrong about my generation. But you keep right on pointing fingers slick while we keep right on fighting the good fight.
