Vaccine mandate story about an Indian client of mine

Spoke to him yesterday and he told me about moving from New York City to Utah recently because of the mandates in NYC. Said he wanted to live in a “free” state - his words not mine. Said he was afraid of the shot because it’s just too new and he doesn’t trust it but the city was forcing him and his wife to take it so they told NYC to go frick themselves and moved to Utah because his research showed that few states are as “free” as they are there.

Maybe he’s working fully remote, keeping the same job and salary while drastically reducing his COL.

You do realize 100K in Utah is way way different than 100K in NY based off of cost of living right?

The pay for the same job in different states is the same. I have been recruited a number of times to leave Texas for California and the upper East Coast. The pay was always the same or sometimes lower. However the cost of living was higher.
I don’t know why people choose to work in places like California and New York.
