The Patriots will probably still be in use for a good while but the more Directed Energy Weapons come online it will probably lead to the demise of the Patriot systems pretty quickly.
I don’t know how far the other branches of the services are with Directed Energy Weapons but the Navy already has some in use on a couple of ships. The technology still has some growing a lot of growing to do but that DEW’s are the future with the threat of cheap drones going up by the year.
