Well, that brings my question back into play. If the fed govt controls up to 60ft from the actual border, then the govt wouldn't be seizing property from landowners.

You think every piece of this wall can be built within 60ft of the border?

There's nothing to hide. The country is more important than any individual.

My biggest concern with this is not just federal government taking a "right of way" of sorts, but that the government is taking substantial amounts of land in some cases where logistics may make it preferable to place the border wall somewhere OTHER than the border
For instance, in the case of the National Butterfly Center "the wall will split the center’s property 1.2 miles from the border and cut off access to nearly 70% of its land"... That doesn't bode well for private property owners along the border.

Sure there is. Unless you're not pretending to be a conservative and a patriot.
If you're openly admitting to being an authoritarian, I misread you.

Lol no. But then again, he isn't asking for a wall that runs the length of the border. In areas, I'm sure they wouldn't need the entire 60 ft to construct that section of barrier/fencing/wall either.

He may never recover from that thread.

Otherwise, you'd have some belligerent cocksucker holding up progress of an interstate or border wall. The country comes first. These people are fairly compensated.
You are so very far from conservative.

Do you think the country can allow an individual to undermine it?
Saying that an individual's property rights are more important than the security of the country, would be like saying the first amendment rights of a spy who gave top secret information to a hostile government, is more important than treason laws that protect the country.

Nope, but there are areas that a wall can't run within 60ft of the border.

I think a country can and should allow the people to undermine it.

It's not like that at all.

So don't put the wall/barrier/fence there?
Posted on 2/4/19 at 4:55 pm to AggieDub14
I can't think of a better reason for E.D. than border security. If some want to be on the southern side of the wall I hope they can work that out and build north of them whenever possible.
