But tarrifs are helping America to gain back it's even standing.
We are the number one per capita mfgr in the world. We dont need to gain back anything.
What we need to do is teach people who can only work assembly lines how to manage the modern economy instead of this constant wealth redistribution Trump is doing.

I'm pretty disappointed in Rand
Why he is the new John McCain "Maverick" and will do more to stop a republican POTUS than a democrat POTUS.
Because he has raging TDS.

But then in Roger's next breath he'll accuse Trump and Trump supporters of being progressive Democrats... While worshiping the "real conservatives" in Congres... who routinely vote with Democrats. Make it all make sense!

You're the one celebrating Republicans voting with Democrats, not us, pal. Take a look in the mirror. A long hard look.

If it means breaking up MAGAs desire for collective control of the economy, I'll vote with anyone.
What a world where Dems are less communist than MAGA.

You should be ashamed those Democrats have more economic knowledge than you.

Who can withstand the trade war better, Big corporations or small business?
Who does tariffs benefit more, small business or Big Corporations?
What is economies of scale?
Not hard at all, you should be able to knock that out in less than a minute.

Where is the sweet spot. I understand a weak dollar lowers buy ability for the US and a very strong dollar makes our goods more expensive to sell overseas. And different policies can make each worse or better. Where does the green valley lay between the extremes?
Can currency speculation cause problems either way and is it a good thing overall?

Rand is a globalist who won't acknowledge the damage the absolute lie of "free trade" have wreaked on this country for decades... or the dirty tricks played by most of the nations we compete against that we just absorb for a positive stock ticker.
And that's the problem, it's not free trade between the US and most other nations. Trump is using US tariffs on imports from other nations as leverage to rework trade deals so there is some semblance of free trade after the reworked trade agreements are finalized.

And yet not a single vote on cutting USAID money being wasted.

If you want to sacrifice your purchasing power for "fair trade" then it might be a good thing. Ironically it also risks causing higher prices, which would be a double whammy for people in the wage economy.

Roger, considering everything Trump has done for the American people, do you really think Trump is trying to hurt the American people?
Do you think that he and Bessent may have more insight and purpose to what they are doing with things going on behind the scenes than we do?
Why do you want to buy more goods from a communist run country? Don’t we already have enough of that with China?

trump judges whether things are good or bad by the reaction. I dont think he purposely wants to hurt people, but he's willing to if it keeps his core base happy.

Yes, he IS definitely trying to hurt certain American people, as he has proclaimed.
Yes, they use that insight for personal gain.
Congress SHOULD be managing tarrifs, not Don
