Hypersonic missiles that can be guided and not lose guidance lock would be a paradigm shift and be extremely difficult to counter. The problem is I am 99.999% sure no country has cracked that nut, even the US. IIRC we have about 70 programs working independently on the problem and the idea that Russia or China has operational munitions that have true hypersonic guidance is basically laughable.

The Kynzhal aka Dagger or Carrier Killer is just a ballistic missile that reaches hypersonic speeds in reentry like almost all ballistic missiles. The capabilities Russia has assigned to it are an even bigger tall tale than the T-14 being the baddest MBT ever to grace the battlefield. It at least has potential if they could build it, the fact it has a moniker past "Object XXX" is just raw propaganda.

The death of the US military has been greatly exaggerated to borrow from Samual Clemens. Administrations come and go but love it or hate it the MIC just keeps on MICcing. Anyone picking any military over the US in a conventional war is just ignorant or being an edge lord.
