Lol, I'm sure Lockheed also believes that this initiative is a crucial step in meeting the growing demand of their board of directors, too.

Any military inventory proclaimed by the MIC is suspect. Lets print more money to spend on more military related equipment. A few more trillion added to the deficit is ok as long as its for defense spending.

No need to worry about bankrupting this country or SS and Medicare going bust.

How can you be out of missiles

Our procurement is shite and filled with grift. We also dont produce a lot of munitions. For instance, we only produce about 1/4 million artillery shells a month, Russia has used as many as 50k a day during parts of the war.

The US has created the most advanced/hi tech weapon systems, part of the downside to that is cost and scale to build said weapons.

Defensive weapons are also always going to cost more… you can fire 10 missiles blind at a city and not care too much where they land. For the guys shooting them down, your interceptors needs to hit their missile mid air

Letting every potential adversary in the world know that you are running low of defense munitions is certainly a rather odd national defense strategy

Ty. It’s my level of understanding that specific missiles can be programmed differently per whomever is going to use them.

We have the capability to limit/throttle its use from what I’ve read over the past 2-3 years. Missile tech is fascinating.
