US ISM Manufacturing PMI rose to 54.0 in May, beating the 53.0 forecast and April’s 52.7. A reading above 50 means expansion, and this extends the strongest factory run since 2022
May ISM Manufacturing PMI up to four-year high of 54.0 vs. 53.0 est. & 52.7 prior … new orders up to 56.8 vs. 54.1 prior; prices paid down to 82.1 vs. 84.6 prior … employment up to 48.6 vs. 46.4 prior

Ask and you shall receive.
Cliff's Notes—It's temporary, it's due to front loading orders due to Iran, and it's causing prices to rise

I wouldn't expect anything less from London educated author
FTR, we get little that goes through Strait of Hormuz so the supply shock is really elsewhere
