Where was this level of concern when the DOJ was prosecuting 80 year women for praying in a hallway outside an abortion clinic?

Another Lindsay Halligan special

I don't know that complaining about weaponization of the justice system, then weaponizing the justice system is the best thing for the country. But, here we go.

When’s the last time you heard someone mention “lawfare” on this board?

She broke the law. NO ONE is above the law just ask her,

Normally, I think most would agree. However, there are 2 issues
1) If they don't pay a price for what they did against Trump and hundreds of others since 2017, then they will continue to do it, time after time.
2) Nobody is above the law. Do the crime, do the time. In this case, she clearly committed fraud. It's documented.

Nope, definitely not for the Norfolk property.

Me thinks Ms. Halligan ignored the exculpatory evidence in making this decision. Surely she did not show the exculpatory evidence to the grand jury.

I mean, I understand. I personally feel Russiagate is one of the biggest political scandals in the history of the country. But, it also seems like DOJ ginned up a weak case against Comey to pay for it (it's not even a Russiagate case).
And as to Letitia, be careful about burying someone for what you perceive as fraud. The DJT fraud case was a complete joke.
This board fights "process" and paperwork crimes when they apply to Trump and J6ers, but will cheer on them when they apply to his opponents.
I guess I just don't like authoritarianism of any stripe.

She’s been indicted today

Which is what? Her earlier indication that is was intended to be non primary?
Then what happened? How was the mortgage put together? Any riders?

Read the link I posted earlier in this thread. She made it very clear and it was 100% understood by the mortgage originator that she was helping her niece purchase the property for the niece to live in. It’s unequivocal.

As much as I want justice, I have an issue with Trump pounding the bully pulpit and applying pressure. I would have liked to see him stay out of that and allow justice to take its course. Allow surrogates to call for action.

Feel free to scour my posts and then slap yourself.
I will call out things I disagree with concerning those I strongly support. Sorry that bothers you. .

Setting everything political aside, proving intent in these types of cases is not easy. It’s not shocking that prosecutors are hesitant to take it on
Why would it be difficult to prove Mens Rea? The application would be prima facie evidence. Of course…if her application is legit….like the one Trump got convicted over…it would be a difficult case.

If his opponents weren't so nasty and pathological, I'd listen to you.
