What in the holy frick is wrong with these kiddies that can’t throw what essentially is an exploding baseball 25 meters or roughly 82 feet?!

Somewhere along the way the fathers of this generation failed them.

Article also points out that this may be a lace in standards because the chick soldiers can’t cut it

Either way- emabarrasing to say the least.

quote:

he United States Army will no longer require recruits to show they can throw hand grenades 25 meters because many of them can’t throw the explosive far enough, it revealed on Friday. The Army says that starting next summer it will remove the requirement from its Basic Combat Training because it takes too much time to teach enlistees to throw grenades at an adequate distance.

quote:

‘We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don't have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 to 30 meters,’ he said

quote:

Many who are critical of the army's recent attempts to recruit women jumped on the news to blame increased diversity in the army for the drop in physical demands. On Facebook, John Clayton wrote: 'Army to lower hand grenade requirements because women do not have the strength to throw it far enough to meet existing requirements to graduate SMH.' 'One of my female soldiers couldn't throw a grenade so she couldn't deploy,' wrote Anthony Anderson. 'This generation is just weak and lazy, and think they deserve everything.' 'When you turn your military into a social experiment, you get these kind of results,' wrote Zac Booterbaugh.

They at least could have come up with a better excuse like say "technology is better, grenades are becoming obsolete(I have no idea), changing tactics etc"

This makes the Army seem like a bunch of pussies

Leftists insisted we include women.

We now have lower standards for everybody.

Leftists are doing everything they can to destroy our society, on every front.

Yea, it's very clearly referring to the womenz.

They'll never admit that because it's more socially acceptable to say "new trainees"

Is it strength, or is it technique?

I mean, I never considered myself as having a "strong arm" but I could throw a baseball from deep center to second base without a bounce. That's easily longer, and I swear I had a weaker arm than almost anyone else on my team because I only played for that one year - the rest had played for several.

That said, "large number of trainees" likely cannot be ONLY to blame on female recruits. They only make up 11% of the Army's total (and most in administrative roles), so I doubt they're the reason.

That said, I wouldn't mind Monica Lin Brown serving right beside me, female or not. She's got her fellow soldiers' backs.

Wow.

We had a dummy dressed as a Soviet soldier approximately 50 meters downrange from the pit. There was an informal competition among us on qualification day as to who could come closest to the dummy.

During the debate over allowing women in combat roles, the left kept denying that training requirements would not be lowered to accommodate them.

They lied again.

So obvious question. What happens when these broads get into combat and can’t throw a fricking grenade? A dumbass social experiment here gets someone else killed over there.

It’s a shame Rangers and SF have to be associated in any way with Big Army. I’ve dealt with some Army Resevist that where Lt. Colonels that were true idiots. It’s shsmeful.
