You would think. But y'all seem to be slacking.
This was dated a bulletin by the US customs service on 4-5. Is it your opinion that the US customs service was wrong?

The screen on my Lenovo tablet broke 2 weeks ago. The only replacement I can find is in some Chinese website. I’ve been reluctant to purchase it, worried about getting a piece of Chinese junk.
I’m curious if these tariffs are make the price jump 120%. This tablet may be going in the trash.

Trump Exempts Phones, Computers, Chips From ‘Reciprocal’ Tariffs
The Trump administration exempted smartphones, computers, and other electronics from reciprocal tariffs, potentially reducing sticker shock for consumers and benefiting electronics giants like Apple and Samsung.
The exclusions apply to popular consumer electronics items not made in the US, such as smartphones, laptop computers, and computer processors, as well as machines used to make semiconductors.
The tariff reprieve may be temporary, as the exclusions may soon be replaced by a different, likely lower, tariff for China.

Alibaba often has the original manufacturer, some name you have never heard of, listing the parts and is pretty safe to purchase from.
Those screens are not made in the US. And neither was your laptop.

These tariffs are terrible. We are staring at unnecessary trade wars.

Trump is bending the knee and losing by allowing exemptions.

Ready... Fire... Aim
This administration's approach to this whole fricking thing. In the end, the 5k drop in the market is likely all for not, as this could have systematically been put in place and reduced the panic selling.

He will never outsmart Jinah or Japan. Should actually take all the advice possible from Japan. They know how to run a country.

This is as much a bump for Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, India and Taiwan as it is China.
Those countries have been taking market share from China in phones and computers...if I'm reading things correctly.
We are still putting stiff tariffs on all the other crap China sends our way.

Which proves my point. It isn't about the tariffs. It is all about going against whatever Trump does.
