quote:Pfft. China is and will always be a paper tiger. The time to take Taiwan has passed with Joe gone.
China is allowing this operation to go down because they'll also be expanding their own sphere of influence by taking Taiwan. And even Indonesia
No oil, no jet fuel, no takee outee Taiwan. Their command structure is shite, as is all communist countries. The only way they gain anything is with a weak US President. Trump ran them out of Panama, they are too scared to help Cuba, and their economy is tied to the US so strongly, they can’t afford to rock the boat.
Unfortunately the US is tied to them with all the cheap labor and goods.

You can take our Israel in your title. They have us by the balls and the government is bending over backwards for them.

What is your reasoning for that opinion? I’m sure you must have an explanation on hand as to exactly why Israel has is by the balls and has us bending over backwards for them. That’s an extreme belief and can only rationally come to you by way of a specific explanation. So what is it??

Senators taking trips over there repetitively. Lindsey Graham communicating with Natanyahu with US intelligence. -Trump really calm about that.
“There will likely be more. Sadly it’s the way it is.” -Trump after the U.S. soldiers were killed.
“We suspected Israel was under threat so we attacked.”
-Trump after just meeting with Netanyahu.
Believe what you want but this whole Iran thing and the constant praise of Israel seems bizarre.

Trump has been consistent on military intervention against Iran literally since 1980. Are you saying he's been in Israel's pocket for 46 years?

Last summer we “ended” their nuclear program in one of the most badass ways. Netanyahu has been crying Iran is weeks from a nuclear weapon for 30 years.
Trump now is different than Trump then. Why are we even considering boots on the ground for Israel?

And that’s definite proof this is about china and not Iran.

You didn't answer the question. Trump has been consistent on military intervention in Iran for 46 years. Has he been an Israeli stooge this entire time?

Iran can surrender anytime.....their call! I have ZERO sympathy for them

No he hasn’t, but this time I’d say he is doing it because Israel is more in his ear. Why are we sending so much firepower over there this time?

What leadership is going to emerge willing to clean this mess up?
I’m all for killing those needing killing, but not sure this makes sense if the goal is organic change.

I think people believe the oil is “refined” and then shipped out. The Chinese purchase 90% of the crude and what refined oil products Iran makes.
Huh? Iran's petrochemical plants are also at a trickle due their dependence on refining. There was a lot of construction in Iran over 25 years ago with China as the target market for chemical/plastics sales. That market is no longer there plus they don't have naphtha from refineries due lack of refined products which are more than gasoline and diesel.
Iran is known for its bitumen, what we call residuals, or bottoms to make asphalt concrete, shingles, tar, etc... FWIW, asphalt is a heavy refined product what is on roads is asphalt concrete.
