Filming of Top Gun III. Maverick falls in love with a Cajun girl and trades in his F18 for an F250 with truck nuts and an oil tool job in Broussard.
Then when Maverick is on a 7 day hitch in the gulf, Jody takes Maverick's Cajun Girl from behind.
Maverick comes home early and catches them in the act. Maverick gets even with Jody by stealing an F18 from Barksdale and carpet bombs his wife's house, and Jody's house.
Maverick then flies the F18 in the gulf, ejects before crashing and escapes to South America to become the next Barry Seal under a new name.

Worked at ARA we would get a decent amount of military traffic including fighters F-18s, F-5s, in a blue moon F16s would stop on a cross country and same with F15s. The most we would get were the RiverRattlers F18s out of Navy New Orleans and it wasn't uncommon for them to come in as a flight of 4 which was always cool to watch them land and depart as a flight on an 8K ft runway. Activity picks up and slows down during parts of the year depending on training requirements.
