re: Unless you are prepared in advance spiritually, you will accept the Mark of the Beast

We got our own little tent revival going on in here
There’s never been a time that people didn’t interpret current events as proof of the end times.

Ive always thought that the mark being specifically located on the hand and forehead symbolizes evil thoughts and evil acts. Soon all things imaginable will be possible and allowed and accepted in society. So much so that even the strongest Christian may fall to temptation.
Slaves were marked on their hand or their forehead so that you could tell they were slaves and who their master was. So the readers of Revelation in the Early Church would have understood this as a sign of slavery. In John’s writing, clearly slavery to the kingdom of this Present Age.

Unless one is independent to the degree that one does not need "to buy and sell"...then the choice is binary, and clear. If you want access to the basic goods and services in the 'System'...you take the 'Mark'. Now whether said 'Mark' will require an OVERT denial of Jesus' Divinity and allegiance to some current 'Human Leader'...I don't think we'll know that until it manifests.
But you are spot on re getting out ahead of things and getting 'in shape' for the fight, Rev. It's one thing to surrender our (God-given) sovereign parental rights over what (lies) is taught to our children...it is quite another to be asked straight up to deny Jesus' Absolute Authority. Satan will sneak to gaining power, before going rogue on those who openly reject his authority.
IMO (current), the day we see "The Great Reset" happen, will be the day the 7 year timeline starts. Getting close, as the Dems crash the Dollar and our Economy.
God speed.

So if God forces Satan to do evil things, wouldn’t that make God evil?
You have obviously thought very deeply on this subject as evidenced by this question. I’m not honest, but you’re interesting.

It’s really a bad time to be Jewish, Buddhist or Hindu.
Sorry nerds, you’re not going to heaven.

No. Pre-trib. I just acknowledge that there are many differing beliefs within the Christian community.

This thread delivers. Some weak minded whackos in here.

Only if you have to justify worshiping a guy that is responsible for everything you attribute to Satan.

I know of this belief system. I just don’t agree with it.

God doesn’t have to justify any of his actions, because they are all just. And neither do I have to justify his actions.
If I were to kill a person who was about to rape a baby, I’d be considered heroic. But If you didn’t have to same knowledge that led me to my decision, you’d simply conclude me to be a murderer.

The God-Satan relationship is more like Charles Manson being responsible for his cult’s murders.

So, the Sum Total of a Self-Aware Entity that is The Source of all manifest Universal Matter and Energy, Intellect/Knowledge...and Love (Unity; think String Theory and perfect harmony)...is..."a guy".
You might want to do a little more homework before offering a derisive critique on others, E. But not. Contrast is what makes things clear.

Where do you weirdos come from?
There are people who consider themselves to be sane, but yet elected a corrupt, senile, lying pedophiie, career politician to be president. Weirdness is a matter of perspective.

The darkness is upon us, and the hour of our testing is here.
Yep. The evil one and his demons have breached the walls. The Anti-Christ is moving to establish his kingdom. The movement is towards a one-world government, headed by a governing committee, with one individual appointed to be the spokesman, leader.....the anti-Christ. Donald J. Trump was the last obstacle to the fulfillment of their diabolical scheme.
Those brave January 6th Patriots languishing (some dying actually) in that prison are the first martyrs in the final battle against satan and his legions of demons. Including his human demons here on earth. Creepy Joe Biden is not a demon, but satan does occupy his soul. Joe Biden moves his mouth but it's the globalist demons that speak.
So, Pray, Fast, read the Bible, and resist. DO NOT retreat into a fortress mentality. The survival of your families, including your children depend on it.
The BEAST is upon us.

It's Thor. The mighty Thor. He is the real God.
Prove me wrong.

quote:I once thought I had it figured out (maybe because I was afraid I wouldn't be strong enough during the tribulation to resist) so I was a pre-trib. More study made me think irrespective of my desires, post-trib is more likely. Then, I went through an extensive study (probably took close to 6 months) of The Revelation from the eyes of a partial preterist. I have no clue. Just better be ready for anything.

Since everything is being politicized these days, how could this not possibly fit under the umbrella of politics?

As a young Christian, 40 plus years ago, I often thought about the end times, the prophecies in the book of Revelation, and the antichrist. When I thought about it then, in the abstract, I was always bold and confident I could easily remain faithful and accept death over receiving the mark. But fast forward to our present age, and the prospects of a mark to buy, trade or sell is far from the abstract, and very real and imminent.
This ^^^^ is why I admire the people who go off grid and people like the Amish/Mennonite. They have the power of self sufficiency and reliance to tell the oppressors to pound sand.....for now.
