Not an NPC. I'm always here to perfect an argument. Some people consider it trolling but I have to know why people think what they do. I do the same thing to liberals on Facebook.

Oh no you dont, the classic "shiny object" defense. Earned income tax credits allows them to claw back what they put in AND their employers portion as well, to the tune of 18 billion (according to IRS). FAR FAR FAR more than they pay in taxes to begin with.

Genuinely interested in a link

(a) Either you didn't read the 'hint' related to illegals doing ILLEGAL things, or you did not understand it.

(b) You honestly just tried supporting your contention "they pay plenty of taxes" by citing sources saying they pay about $80/month? Did you really do that?
Because it looks like you did.

I answered your question. You can keep your hints.

That's not including state and local taxes nor the impact on us all by using cheap labor for goods we buy.

I'm not reading 7 pages, but I can understand why stupid people like the OP and Ebb and bleed think this is awesome.

If I were Trump, I would gleefully point her out as an example of someone who has cheated the system and cost an American a job. Without fraud, she wouldn't have been hired.

As soon as it was discovered she was a fraud, she was fired.

Only Progressive sees this as a "gotcha".

Yeah I'm sure that the guy clamoring for a wall oh, and say Mexico will be paying for it, would love to point out the fact that he has an illegal immigrant working for him. I'm sure that won't look bad at all

you're trying to claim that Trump gave the order to hire illegals

NOWHERE have I made this claim, in this thread, or any other. I challenge you to provide a link to back up your assertion.

Not a rebuttal.

Because your statement was not germane to the discussion.

We're bleeding over 100 billion dollars a year due to illegals

No we're not. We're bleeding money from our entitlement programs - which illegals happen to take advantage of. Reform entitlements, and illegals will no longer cost us so much money.

We.

Need.

Entitlement.

Reform.

...above ALL else, abortion, immigration, gun control and all the other wedge issues that are designed to take our eyes off the ball. Our debt is becoming a matter of national security.

Not paying enough =/= paying plenty. Your bias is on full display.

Lol why would you assume that?

Lets look at construction, both commercial and residential.

You think the construction standards from the country they came from are superior, or equal to, our own? American subs are bad enough, illegal crews are a nightmare.

You're doubling down on the claim that $80/m is "plenty of taxes"?

Ask and you shall receive.

quote:

Oh for frick's sake, they told the immigrants how to obtain the documents they needed.

Whatever, they were complicit in the illegal behavior, and provide the demand for the supply of illegal documentation.

The "person who did that" was just acting according to the company's unwritten policy. He wasn't just some rogue manager.

It wasn't some rogue manager, its the companies unwritten policy. Why make that distinction unless you're trying to tie it to Trump? What does it matter if it came from the rogue manager or the rogue manager's boss? None of us would care, unless it went all the way up to Trump.

I don't know why you're even arguing against this.

quote:

Because your statement was not germane to the discussion.

Considering the thread title is "Undocumented Immigrant Who Worked at a Trump Golf Club Will Attend State of the Union" of course my comments about the possibility of Trump allowing his companies to hire illegals and how his base feels about it is part of the topic.

quote:

Agreed, but you take what you can get. Once you start giving something away its nearly impossible to take it back. We live in a democracy and you're going to lose votes if you campaign on taking something away. You'd think that preventing illegals from entering the country and taking part in these programs would be something everyone could get behind, but then you see all the sanctuary states and cities and realizes that the progressives don't care.

At the end of the day I bet more American's support preventing illegals from crossing the border than support reducing welfare benefits. Seeing as both would reduce the debt, lets work on the easiest to accomplish goals first then move on to the harder things.

Dont want illegal immigrants. No bias. Just don't like made up info. They also pay state and local taxes and make the cost of goods cheaper.

You do realize the companies that oversee their construction methods are providing better materials and overseeing the process right?

With respect to residential buildings (houses, add ons, etc.) the labor just has to hold for a year. Any failures past that and its on the owner.

At least here in Louisiana.

So is this person undocumented or illegal? Confusing spin you've put on this.

LINK quote: The undocumented immigrant, Victorina Morales, had worked as a housekeeper at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., since 2013, and spoke to The New York Times as part of an article published last month. The report revealed that the president’s company — the Trump Organization — was, for years, employing people at the golf club who are in the country illegally.

Spin away

I bet Trump did the sit down interview with an interpreter before she was hired too.
